My Regency era inspired portrait of French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte's famous white stallion Marengo, on Kylee Parks' beautiful Canterbury medallion. It won First Place (pro division) in Kylee's Medallion Creativity Challenge, has won two NAN cards, plus Overall Champion Medallion at Luck O' The Irish live, and Overall Reserve Champion Medallion at Winter Whinnies live.
Painted in shimmering detail with oil paints, it features a fully rendered landscape background showing the distant pyramids in Egypt (where Marengo was captured), framed by an actual metal leaf border. This piece measures 8 inches wide x 8.5 inches tall.
